For our vegetarian friends, a plant-based dumpling that playfully pays homage to all the best Cantonese, Korean and Japanese flavors.

Made with rich and smoky shiitake, fresh aromatic herbs, and a pinch of Chinese Five Spice, these meat-free dumplings are packed full of superfood ingredients that are great for overall gut health.

Don’t microwave or boil these dumplings

Steam

  1. Place steamer parchment paper or lettuce in your dumpling steamer. Then add the dumplings into the steamer placing them ½ inch apart.
  2. Fill your favorite large pan or wok to a water level just below the bottom of your dumpling steamer. Bring water to a rolling boil, then place the dumpling steamer with your ABC Dumplings in the pan.
  3. Let steam for 11-13 minutes or until the dumplings achieve an internal temperature of at least 165°F.

Pan fry

  1. Heat tbsp of oil in a pan over medium-high heat (avocado oil highly recommended!). Pro Tip: pan is sufficiently hot when the oil sizzles after sprinkling a little water.
  2. Carefully distribute the desired amount of dumplings in the pan. Fry for 1-2 minutes without moving the dumplings to get a crispy bottom.
  3. Add enough water to cover the bottom of the pan, cover with a lid and cook for 4 minutes.
  4. Remove cover and keep cooking until water evaporates and the bottoms are golden brown, about 5 minutes, or until the dumplings achieve an internal temperature of at least 165°F.

Bok choy

This leafy supergreen is rich in fiber (essential for great gut health) as well as Vitamin C – a powerful antioxidant that’s proven to reduce the risk of conditions like diabetes, heart disease and cancer. 

Chinese Five Spice

This blend of anise, fennel seeds, ginger, cinnamon and clove is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine. It's known for its anti-inflammatory properties, aiding digestion, and reducing cholesterol. 

Turmeric

A spice that’s been used for years in South Asian Ayurvedic medicine. Turmeric’s known to improve skin health (thanks to its antiseptic and antibacterial properties), promote better digestion and joint health, and even reduce fatigue.  

Shiitake mushrooms

It’s not just the umami flavor we love. Shiitake mushrooms contain many of the same amino acids as meat. They’re high in Vitamin B, can aid weight loss, support immune function, and help maintain a healthy heart.
